The recent weeks have witnessed the gatherings and ingathering of political, religious and traditional leaders of Ahiazu Mbaise State Constituency on rotation of power as the subject matter.
Recall that the two clans of the constituency had earlier agreed and signed a one term bid which is four years in the Imo State House of Assembly.
However, Samuel Otuibe who is currently holding the people’s mandate as s beneficiary of that agreement is desperately rooting for a second term bid despite that he signed the document binding the two clans to rotate power after every four years in the House of Assembly.
As consultations are going on different fractions are emerging, ranging from elders who want to do the right thing to ones who are easily convinced with gifts.
It is said that Otuibe’s consultation in Ahiara Clan on Friday 16th of December 2022 is already dead on arrival owing that he was handpicked by Supreme Court Imposed Governor, to be a House of Assembly member without conducting primary election and other due political process.
This is ticket issued to Otuibe from ‘Room 204’ in OMUMA VILLAGE is what the Imo community refers to as ‘Omuma Magic’ at work in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA. The OMUMA MAGIC may also replay in Ahiazu Mbaise during 2023 general election if the elders do not stand their grounds and do the needful.
Though initially confirmed by the APC chairman of Ahiazu Mbaise Hon. Ethel Ugwu on how they were boycotted to produce Otuibe unlawfully against Ahiazu Mbaise people which was countered by APC Leader Mr. Peter Onu who is currently in Otuibe’s political camp and rewarded payroll.
No wonder Otuibe has not done anything tangible in Ahiazu Mbaise and worthy of handover since assumption of office.
We challenged Otuibe to deny the truthful statement of his APC Chairman Hon. Ethel Ugwu against him 4 days ago during Ahiara Clan Consultation on OMUMA MAGIC ticket giving to him undemocratic against 80% of Ahiazu Mbaise people which we will tender the clear evidence of the Chairman’s statement.
